From USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez comes a hot-new series of alpha bodyguards.
She was my nightmare. Every time I closed my eyes, I watched her fall into that inferno. Over and over, I failed to save her.
I hadn’t been able to reach her, and the guilt only burned hotter over time. Four years later, I was the unreachable one.
Heroes aren’t always saints. Sometimes, we’re nothing more than jaded sinners driven by sleepless nights and hearts full of darkness.
And then I met her. She was a dreamer who managed to soothe my scars and heal my wounds.
But, as the flames closed in around us, I feared I wasn’t the right man to save her. That is until I realized she was the one woman I’d burn the world down to protect.

With Rhion I was free.
To her, I was perfect.
I was the hero who did everything right.

Starting off, it felt a little slow going, and it did take me a few tries at reading to get into the swing of it but as soon as I was into the nitty and gritty of the story I found myself addicted to the world Aly creates, just like every other book of hers.

Whilst I loved Rhion’s personality, humor and attitude towards her past, the whole keeping secrets even if not meaning to kind of got old quick time.
Jude was the perfect definition of Alpha male – hot, protective and good in the sack, but he so much underlining guilt left over because of the past and it broke my heart having to hear and feel him relive it – especially when he got his side of the story and the actually events that took place.

“It’s always been about you, You saved me a lot of years ago. Maybe its my turn now.”
I laughed sadly. “I don’t need saving, Butterfly.”
“I disagree.”

I loved catching up with Leo & Sarah and found this book the perfect introduction to the new series. I can’t wait to see where Aly is gonna go and which character is next on the journey to find their HEA.

We can be beautifully flawed together.
